abstract = {Abstract The study the possibility of using selected tools/methods of the Lean Manufacturing concept and tools supporting quality management in reducing production problems, was presented. The own research was divided into three stages in which production problems were identified, methods of reducing them were identified, and their effectiveness in terms of problem elimination/reduction was assessed. It was possible to identify the causes of the problems thanks to the 5Why method and the cause and effect diagram (Ishikawa diagram). In terms of the methods/tools of the Lean Manufacturing concept, the following were used: 5S method, visual management, One Point Lesson (OPL), Kaizen, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). Own research was carried out in the automotive industry. The identified production problems include: stoppage of the production line, incorrect bending process, waste. Each of the methods/tools used had a different effect on limiting the identified production problems. For the purposes of the study, a three-point scale was also adopted, allowing to determine the impact of tools/methods on reducing the identified problems. Therefore, it turned out to be important to implement several methods/tools simultaneously. The implemented methods allowed for the effective limitation of the occurrence of the identified problems.

abstract = {Many researchers and business practitioners wonder about the limitations of the operation of manufacturing companies in Poland. At this point, the author asks the related question: What categories of problems will entrepreneurs have to solve in the near future (short strategic horizon)? In other words, what barriers will prevent (disrupt) the stable functioning of enterprises. The formulated question became the starting point and a creative synthesis based, on the one hand, on a detailed analysis of the problem theory, and, on the other, on the author’s own research. Achieving the main goal required the accomplishment of intermediate goals, among which the following were distinguished: (C1) a query of the literature in direct relation to the research topic (starting point); (C2) development of a theoretical research model (expert study); (C3) recognition of the significance of barriers – assessment from the perspective of manufacturers of the Polish agricultural machinery sector (verification of the research model). The research was carried out as a result of cooperation with deliberately selected experts. The intention of this study was to establish a list of factors unfavorable for the functioning of enterprises. The research tool prepared on this basis (evaluation questionnaire) was tested among intentionally selected enterprises. Based on the respondents’ indications, the significance of individual factors was established study.},

abstract = {The article deals with the survey of hyperspectral imaging and its applications. The article is devoted to a survey of the key areas in which hyperspatial imaging finds application. These areas include geological survey and mineralogy, plastic separation, food quality inspection, precision agriculture, landmine detection, medical imaging, and manufacturing processes. It can be stated that the possibilities where hyperspectral imaging can be used are numerous. Also, the application of such technology and its deployment needs a deep understanding of the problem to which we want to apply hyperspectral imaging. In general, it can be used where it is possible to compare images of the normal state against the current state with a comparison sample.},

abstract = {The article describes both theoretical and practical application of thought methods supporting the creation of innovative solutions. The “ideas crushing” technique was presented, which helps to discover as many defects as possible in a crushed object in order to use them to create a new, better object. The technique of “Six Thinking Hats” using lateral thinking was also characterized. This type of thinking is characterized by problem-solving by looking at things differently than usual. The article shows how to create creative solutions using heuristic methods. The list of requirements for innovative cleaning equipment was made through the use of an “ideas crushing” method called reverse brainstorming. After answering a series of crushing questions, appropriate conclusions were drawn. Subsequently, the defects found were catalogued according to their type, and those that did not bring tangible benefits in relation to the costs of their removal, were rejected. At the last stage of the method, possible solutions to the most important disadvantages were proposed. The practical application of the “Six Thinking Hats” method was also presented. It allowed to consider the problem from the point of view of several areas: emotions, facts, optimism, pessimism, innovative ideas, logical thought process. The described methods can be used in other areas of industry and life},
